It was a gift to witness my boys within the Illuman ritual and council space that I know and love so much. I saw them honor the self, others, Divine Source and Mother Earth. And in the time since, I have noticed a deeper ease with which they move in the world, standing just a bit taller and able to look others in the eye a bit longer. I am so grateful for the experience and couldn’t recommend it enough!

About Us
We are a chapter of Illuman and a part of the broader Illuman of the Great Lakes
Our Story
Illuman of Indiana/Michigan is a group of men who are simply interested in becoming better, more authentic men. We formed around 2010 to support the growing number of men in the region who completed the Men’s Rites of Passage (MROP) created by Fr. Richard Rohr, OFM. Our goal is to promote brotherhood, healing, and wholeness for all men. We do this by holding retreats and other opportunities for men seeking to deepen their personal and spiritual well being.
Our Events
We also sponsor meetings and retreats for men. Many of us have attended meetings and helped support retreats of our neighboring brothers in the larger Illuman of the Great Lakes, which includer…Over the past 16 years we have gathered annually to connect around our interest in male spirituality.
